Kamedi GmbH, a dynamic startup from Karlsruhe, has been changing the game since 2018. Our mission is to turn your smartphone into a miracle weapon against insect bites! Insect bites can be effectively treated with heat, but we wanted to do it in a "smart" way. So, our 4 founders, who were studying engineering at the time, started developing an innovative medical product.

Now, in 2019, we are a certified medical device manufacturer with our own development and production in the Technologiefabrik Karlsruhe. Our team has grown to more than 15 clever minds working in various departments of our medtech startup. We are involved in every step from procurement, to production, to shipping.

It all began in 2017 during a student competition. We were tired of mosquito bites and tried out a treatment using concentrated heat. We were immediately convinced by the active principle, but not by the available products. They were too clunky, never with us, and inflexible. So we decided to take the development into our own hands.

Our product, heat it, is a medical device that meets the highest standards and is TÜV Süd certified in Germany. It is compatible with Apple iPhones 6s to 14 (Lightning), but not with iPhone 15 (USB-C), Android smartphones (USB-C), iPads, or Android tablets.
